“This is a fantastic result. I wanted to end the season on a high and I’ve done it in the best possible way! All weekend I’ve felt that I had the pace to win here and I proved that just now. I was disappointed not to get pole position in qualifying... I went for a quick lap right at the end of the session and but tyres had gone. To end up 6th on the grid when I was only 0.020 secs off of the pole time was pretty frustrating. Once we were racing I knew I could win it, and even though I took the lead very early on in the race I knew I wouldn’t be beaten. My front tyre started to lose grip towards the end of the race and I had to ease off a little, but I felt comfortable enough to still put in some good laps. Its a great reward for all of the hard work that both myself and my team have put in this season and hopefully gives all of my sponsors something to smile about over the winter. To win the last ever BSB Superstock Cup race, at my home track, infront of so many supporters is the icing on the cake!”
